      Narrator Lorelei King once again works her magic in bringing to life Stephanie Plum and her crew of quirky characters. The previous audiobook in the series left fans hanging with Stephanie engaged to the two sexy men in her life. Of course, as Stephanie would say: "It's complicated." The plot relies on familiar situations that go from silly to outright ridiculous, but thanks to King's performance of Lula and Grandma, listeners can delight in the many laugh-out-loud moments. Refreshingly, Stephanie seems to finally mature a bit when it comes to her health and personal safety. No spoilers here, but hang in to the end for the long-awaited resolution to Stephanie's love triangle. Fans will eat it all up--like a doughnut with pink frosting and sprinkles.
